“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? Luke 14:28

In the above scripture, Jesus is teaching us to factor the cost of discipleship before making the decision to follow Him – the requirement of laying all our plans, interests, possessions, relationships and even family at His service and His guidance. Many never have considered the cost of following Him and that’s why many are flaky in their relationship with Him. Driving it home, the importance of budgeting and planning can never be overemphasized in growing a business or even running a family. The act of “sitting down” to think and plan is vital for the overall success of your endeavors. Many have lost huge funds because they had some money and just plunged into a business because it looked lucrative. Paul said to Timothy; “Consider what I say and may the Lord give you understanding in all things” (2Tim.2:7) and I say to you today; Dare to Think, Read, Write and Speak.
